Ella is a beautiful tiny village packed with magnificent views, tea plantations and natural beauty. Situated in the Hill Country, approximately 120 miles east of Colombo, at an elevation of 3415 ft. above sea level. While visiting Ella there are a few attractions not to be missed such as climbing Little Adam’s peak and Ella Rock, visiting Ravana Water Falls and the Ravana Caves, Tea factory and Tea Estates, a train tour from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, Dhowa Temple and Bambarakanda Waterfalls, Sri Lanka’s highest waterfall towards Belihul Oya.

Nine Arch Bridge is built of solid rock, bricks and cement without using a single piece of steel. The bridge is situated between Ella and Demodara train stations and was built in British Colonial period, completed in 1921. An iconic, attraction, which many tourists love.

Lipton’s Seat one of the most significant places in Haputhale near Ella, where Sir Thomas Lipton sat and looked out over his empire back in 1890. Sir Lipton introduced Ceylon Tea to the masses. The view from here is just breathtakingly beautiful.
